Meditation Class
This class is an exploration into several different types of meditation involving energy, observation, and movement. In the process participants will be guided to listen and follow their intuition and actively engage their creativity. The class will culminate in a discussion on meditation and sharing of the experience felt by participants. This class is designed for the beginner as well as the intermediate practitioner.

Modern Technique Class
This class gives students information to attune their minds to their body needs and logical ways of moving. Movement clarity and efficiency are emphasized through anatomical awareness exercises, directional specificity, and repeated movement patterns often found in dance. Class begins by consciously shifting mental and physical focus to take class. Easy spinal rotation exercises begin on the floor and work their way to standing. From there, students participate in a focused somatic study such as dropping weight fully into the foot, connecting "sits bones" to heels, or balancing the head on the neck. The class continues to set exercises that fully warm-up the body and demand specificity and efficiency found through repetition. The class ends with a highly physical repertory phrase that allows the student to play with the anatomical focus of the day.

Modern Technique Class
A modern dance class that incorporates:

Class begins by warming up the spine and core muscles through articulation and strengthening sequences. Exercises are developed to promote movement efficiency, flow, flexibly, and the development of long lean muscles. As class progresses movement accumulates incorporating off balance full-bodied phrases. We will identify initiation points for motion and the oppositional directions that allow for moments of balance. Rhythm and musicality drive the overall class sequence and challenge not only the body but also the mind.

Modern Technique Class
This class explores dynamic ranges of movement qualities through a somatic understanding of the body. Technique will be defined in this class as an understanding of how the energetic body affects the physical body to create efficiency in movement. A variety of exercises, structured improvisations, and phrase material will be used to explore technique. Emphasis is placed on the head to tailbone connection to create fluidity in the spine, the relationship to the floor while traveling through space, as well as falling and recovering. A few dense phrases will be taught over the course of the class with a discussion on how to go deeper into movement by placing attention on breath, focus, weight, and direction. The structure of the class flows from meditative to explorative with longer time spent at the end for full-bodied movement.
