Red Novae is owned and operated by Kristen Schifferdecker and Anthony Whitehurst and has two operating businesses: Red Novae | healing arts and Red Novae movement group.

Red Novae movement group was founded in January 2008 as project based dance company that supports the individual and collaborative artistic ventures of Anthony and Kristen. Red Novae movement group also seeks to bridge artists to communities by providing creative opportunities and artist enrichment services.

Red Novae healing arts was founded in June 2009 to establish and promote the energy and healing practices of Kristen and Anthony.

Anthony Whitehurst self-identifies as a dance artist, meditator, energy worker, and activist. Anthony has studied and practiced many forms of movement and seated meditations over the past six years. While living in Louisiana he hosted weekly Yoga and Meditation sessions in the park that were free and open to the public. He has led workshops in Meditation at the University of Louisiana, ACDFA at Florida State University, and at TSD Studios in NYC. The meditation forms that he teaches takes a holistic approach in treating the whole mind/body by creatively combining movement and seated meditations into a meditation series that is dynamic. His teachings are influenced by meditation teachers Osho, Suneel Hooda, and Khentrul Ludro Rinpoche, and movement teachers Jeanine Durning, Jennifer Monson, DD Dorvillier, and Pavel Zustiak. He is a level 2 Reiki practitioner certified by the Reiki Dojo of New York. Over the past several years he has developed something he calls Energetic Response Testing similar to Applied Kinesiology’s Muscle Testing. ERT works off of an individualÕs own body intelligence by detecting a person’s energetic response to different questions or prompts. People use ERT when they want guidance in figuring out what type of supplements, herbs, or foods to intake; or what type of meditation or exercise form to practice for ideal physical and mental wellness. Anthony offers Reiki, Energetic Response Testing (ERT), Meditation, and Space Clearing.

Kristen is a dance artist and Reiki practioner. An intuitive and medium, she has developed her own practice through personal experience and meditation and with the information of influential teachers: Hawks (Tai'Chi), Yvonne Meijer, Juliette Mapp, Miguel Gutierrez, Feldenkreis technique, and many more movement teachers. Kristen studied Reiki to further her understanding of the energetic world through a system of practice. Reiki II Certified from The Reiki Dojo of New York, Kristen has developed fascination to Reiki applications and the joy to share healing with others. Her Reiki sessions often are supplemented with psychic impressions, skills that fall outside of Reiki practice but seem to inform the work well. Kristen offers Reiki sessions.
